Within my practice, I offer group psychotherapy using interpersonal and modern analytic modalities.  The here-and-now nature of these practices is based on the theory that the group is a powerful agent of change. The value of group psychotherapy lies in its ability to allow the individual group member to recreate the social aspects of their life in a way that is difficult to achieve in one-on-one therapy. Through my guidance as a Certified Group Psychotherapist, participants, with the help of the other group members, can gain tremendous insight into issues that might be interfering with their enjoyment of life. The group also gives the participant an ideal "workroom" to develop and experiment with newer, healthier behaviors. In this way, the group is a microcosm of the real world.
